Question: Would you support increasing FCSS funding? How and under what timeframe?
A PC government will continue to support a range of community-based programs and services that enhance social well-being, such as those through Family and Community Supports Services. This is why, even during a period of restraint, our overall contribution to FCSS was maintained at $76 million this year. In addition, more than $275 million is being invested in prevention and early intervention services, such as Parent Link Centres and parent coaching.
If re-elected, we will continue to work with our partners and look for opportunities and efficiencies to increase the quality and quantity of program funding through FCSS.
