04. Urban Aboriginal Strategy & Funding

The Aboriginal population in Canada is growing rapidly and approximately 50% of Canada’s Aboriginal population now lives in urban centres, with large populations settling in Western Canada’s urban centres. The City of Calgary has over 27,000 Aboriginal people living within the metropolitan area. In March 2014, The City of Calgary proclaimed the "Year of Reconciliation"
